Job summary

Cornerstone Community Care is seeking a Personal Assistant/Befriender in Stonehaven to support a client with additional needs. This role involves assisting with community activities such as swimming and gym visits, ensuring a calm and trusting environment.

I am looking for a befriender who can support me out in the community. I have Additional Needs (learning disabilities and autism) and would like to attend the swimming pools and gym in Stonehaven. Other activities could include going for a walk and going to a café. I need someone calm and patient who can help me build a trusting relationship at my pace.

I would describe myself as quite chilled and down to earth. I enjoy watching Eastenders and the TV series – Shetland. I’m a Manchester United supporter and I’m very interested in the World Cup. I’m also interested in marine conservation and have participated in the beach clean ups in Gourdon.

I am described as happy, kind and gentle natured. I do get anxious in unfamiliar situations and new environments can be a challenge for me. It’s important I have support that’s calm, consistent and reassuring.
