NHS GRAMPIAN
SPECIALIST PHYSIOTHERAPIST (Band 6)
Location: Cystic Fibrosis/Home Oxygen, ARI, Aberdeen
Hours: 14.8 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday (possible to spread over 3 days after discussion). There may be an opportunity to increase hours to 18.5 in the future.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to work within the Home Oxygen team at ARI.
Applicants should have a degree in Physiotherapy, be registered with the Health Care and Professions Council, and have recent NHS clinical experience, particularly in respiratory care and chronic disease management. Team working experience is beneficial.
The post involves assessing individuals for home oxygen needs, supporting existing patients, and reviewing cases. It offers a chance to develop skills in the Home Oxygen Service, with additional experience possible in Cystic Fibrosis and other respiratory outpatient services. The caseload includes inpatient, outpatient, domiciliary, and virtual (nearme) cases.
Driving is essential due to the nature of the role.
The post will include out-of-hours work.
The Physiotherapy Department provides a supportive environment with supervision, appraisal, and in-service training. Flexible working hours may be considered.
