An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Supervisor to support our Domestic team primarily at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital and Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital. The successful applicant will also support Aberdeen’s Foresterhill Site when required.
The role focuses on the day-to-day management of an established team of domestic assistants.
Hours of work are 32.5 hours per week. Applicants must have flexibility to work both 0700-1400 and 1300-2000 shifts on a 3-week rota basis, as the working week will be a mix of both shifts.
Applicants must be able to complete all aspects of the role safely, with a proactive approach, and work closely with others to provide high-quality standards of work.
Understanding all tasks thoroughly is crucial. The successful applicant is expected to have previous supervisory or team leader experience, with a strong understanding of staff supervision. This includes effective handling of difficult situations, monitoring performance, rota planning, absence management, and engaging positively with all staff grades to maximize departmental effectiveness.
