Job Description:

NHS GRAMPIAN

RELIEF PORTER/DOMESTIC ASSISTANT

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a relief porter/domestic assistant to join our team covering Inverurie, Huntly, Keith, Turriff, Peterhead, Fraserburgh, and Buckie.

You will be required to work between 0800-1330, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work depending on operational demands.

Band 2

Duties will include:

  • Transferring patients between various areas of the hospital
  • Ensuring the safe movement of medical equipment/medical gases
  • Transporting clinical waste and dangerous materials
  • Movement of stores
  • Cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas in line with the National Cleaning Standards

During the winter months (December to March), support the winter maintenance by ensuring pavements and car parks are prepared for staff, visitors, and patients.

Must be able to perform all aspects of the role safely. Good oral and written communication skills are essential.

Candidates should hold a full driving licence and be confident driving in all weather conditions, as driving across the region may be required. Pool cars will be available from the base site. Successful candidates will undergo a PVG check.
