Low-voltage Switchboard Startup Technician (L1-L5 Commissioning)

Candidate should be familiar with the commissioning, start-up, testing, and maintenance of mission-critical equipment such as: Switchboards, Switchgear, Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRACs), DC plants, Power Distribution Units (PDU), Battery Cabinets, and other critical infrastructure equipment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in equipment commissioning, startup, testing, and maintenance of UPSs, ATSs, Battery Cabinets, PDUs, generators, and switchboards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on generators, ATSs, UPSs, CRACs, DC plants, and other critical equipment.
  • Conduct onsite Integrated Systems Testing (IST) for various electrical gear.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant IST experience.
  • Strong organizational skills for coordinating equipment delivery and onsite activities.
  • Ability to review electrical plans and develop solutions for potential risks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform demanding tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to pass background checks, DMV, and credit checks.
