Job summary

Citi is seeking a software developer for the Global Market Data platform in Belfast. The role focuses on ongoing development of new functionality, with opportunities to deepen skills in low-latency market data and the equity trading domain.

You will work with traders and production teams to diagnose issues and enhance system performance. Ideal candidates have strong Java experience, scripting ability (Perl/Shell), and familiarity with microservices, JIRA, Confluence, and Git-based workflows.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering Java-based systems.
• Experience with scripting in Perl or Shell.
• Experience with microservices architectures is a plus.
• Knowledge of ultra-low latency market data platforms is desirable.
• Familiarity with network protocols such as Multicast/TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Develop new functionality for the Global Market Data platform.
• Collaborate with traders, production support and teams to diagnose and fix issues.
• Support deployment and enhancement of market data systems.
• Contribute to the design and development of low-latency features and services.
