About the role

As a Loss Prevention Partner (LPP) in our Profit Protection team, you'll contribute to the efficiency and profitability of your assigned shop and be an integral part of the team. Your responsibilities will include investigating trends, reporting on key themes related to shrinkage, and protecting our profits. You'll patrol the shop floor to deter theft, monitor CCTV for suspicious behaviour, and support your colleagues and customers.

Note: You must be 18 years or older to work in this role. The role requires working on a rota, including evenings and weekends.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening including a 5-year reference check, Basic Disclosure, and a 5-year financial probity check.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Be a point of contact for profit protection issues and escalate as needed.
  2. Mitigate risks of harm to Partners and Customers.
  3. Manage shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite.
  4. Address all aspects of shrinkage, including dishonesty, procedural failures, and errors.
  5. Support and coach Partners on shrinkage minimization and procedural compliance.
  6. De-escalate conflicts professionally and, if necessary, detain or ban offenders.
  7. Support investigations when required.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence in resolving conflicts.
  • Attention to detail to identify trends and signs of profit loss.
  • Good customer service and relationship-building skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in loss prevention or customer-facing roles is beneficial but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
