Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to deliver B&Q products from store to home in Sheffield (S2 4DR). You will hold a BRICK GRAB HIAB ticket, a valid Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card, with a clean licence and up to 6 points.

Monday to Friday, 07:00 start, 40 hours per week, and a permanent contract. Responsibilities include polite handling of customer queries, on-time delivery, proper loading/unloading, and timely issue escalation to keep operations

Qualifications

• British driving licence Cat C with HIAB brick grab ticket.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points; no DR/DG/DD endorsements within last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver B&Q products to customers, ensure items arrive in good condition and maintain rapport with customers.
• Assist with loading/unloading and vehicle loading when needed; notify office of any delivery issues.
• Keep customers informed of delivery ETA and communicate any problems politely and clearly.
• Ensure safe transport of goods to the kerbside in an efficient manner.

Job description

Are you an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver with a brick grab lorry loader licence looking for your next opportunity? Do you enjoy being on the road and delivering B&Q products directly to customers with a smile? Are you a friendly, reliable, and well-organised individual who thrives in a customer-facing role? • Handle customer queries politely and effectively, ensure every delivery arrives in excellent condition, and build strong rapport through positive interactions with both internal and external customers
• Make sure every return and collection is spot-on, jump in to support B&Q with vehicle loading whenever needed, and quickly alert the Store/Hub office and AOM to any delivery issues so everything keeps moving smoothly
• Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur the customer is communicated with in a polite and courteous manner
• Ensure customers goods are transported safely onto the kerbside and in an efficient manner A full UK driving licence with category C entitlement
• A valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent)
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points

You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, Monday to Friday, with a start time of 07:00, contracted to 40 hours per week.
