Job summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking a Lorry Driver (Class 1) at Hope Cement Works, Derbyshire, to distribute dry powder across Great Britain. You will be part of the transport and logistics team working with the commercial department to deliver excellent customer service and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires a Class 1 licence held for at least two years, a valid DIGI card and Driver CPC, with flexible start and finish times.

Description

A Sales Lorry Driver with Breedon involves the distribution of dry powder from our depots to customer location. You will be part of the logistics team who operate across the whole of Great Britain where Breedon distribute and receive produce via road, rail and ship. In addition you will work closely with the commercial team, to help deliver the best possible customer service.

The role does require the successful post-holder to have held a Class 1 license for a minimum of 2 years

Key Responsibilities

Loading and discharging of dry powders.
Responsibility for planning own routes in liaison with the logistics team.
Responsibility for first use inspection and cleanliness of vehicle.
Completion of documentation to a high standard, including tickets and inspections, using a tablet computer (training given).
Responsible for reporting all safety related issues to line management as they occur.
