Applitrack is seeking a World Language Teacher for Portsmouth High School (Grades 9-12). The multilingual position focuses on French, Italian and/or Spanish instruction under ACTFL guidelines. The role requires developing language skills and cultural appreciation, with ongoing assessment and parent communication.

The substitute teacher will prepare lessons, maintain classroom standards, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a safe and engaging learning environment for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy.
• Ability to implement differentiated instruction based on student learning styles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.

Responsabilités

• Develops and administers world language curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials; translates plans into engaging learning experiences.
• Teaches reading, writing, speaking and listening in target language per ACTFL standards.
• Maintains accurate records of student progress and communicates with parents.
