Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a General Science Teacher for immediate long-term work in Torfaen, Wales. The role covers KS3 with opportunities to teach KS4/KS5, welcoming both NQT and experienced teachers. Roles run from 1st September 2026 to July 2027, with potential permanent progression.

You’ll be part of a supportive team in excellent secondary schools. You will be paid according to your teacher pay grade (£173-£265 per day).

Qualifications

• Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) in Science is required.
• Valid DBS clearance is needed for the role.
• Registration with the Educational Workforce Council (EWC) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging General Science lessons across KS3–KS5.
• Use diverse teaching methods and regular assessments to monitor progress.
• Work in line with school curriculum and national standards.
