Long term Locum Physio required for the whole of 2018 in East Sussex

Sirona Medical is seeking a locum Physiotherapist to cover a long-term role in East Sussex, starting April 2018. The position is located in a coastal town and offers a competitive hourly rate. The role can be part-time (3 days/week) or full-time (5 days/week), and is expected to run until the end of 2018, with potential extension into 2019.

The responsibilities include:

1. Covering Physiotherapy duties in an Inpatient Physiotherapy Unit
2. Providing services in day care, outpatient clinics, gym development, and breathlessness clinics
3. Collaborating with volunteers and junior staff to develop services
4. Working independently or within a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, GPs, health visitors, district nurses, and social workers
5. Supervising support staff such as physiotherapy assistants

Essential requirements:

• HCPC Membership
• Experience in Respiratory, Neuro, MSK, Orthopaedics, and Care of the Elderly Physiotherapy
• Experience in adaptive rehabilitation, goal setting, and discharge planning
• Ability to work under pressure and in a patient-centered manner
• Resilience, patience, good time management, and flexibility

Desirable qualifications:

• CSP Membership
• ACPOPC / Agile membership
• Experience in palliative care and working with therapy assistants or volunteers
