Clarence Recruitment Limited is seeking a History Teacher for a long-term position in Leicester. The role involves delivering History across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE classes, within a supportive Humanities department, with a focus on engaging, well-structured lessons and high expectations for progress and behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have QTS (or equivalent), a History degree, and proven experience teaching History in a secondary school. ECTs are encouraged to apply.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• A degree in History or a closely related subject.
• Experience teaching History within a secondary school.
• Confidence teaching KS3 and GCSE History.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to plan engaging and appropriately challenging lessons.
• A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of young people.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach and support students working towards GCSE History.
• Bring historical events, people and periods to life through creative and thought-provoking teaching.
• Encourage students to develop strong skills in historical enquiry, source analysis, interpretation and evaluation.
• Develop students' confidence in extended writing and examination technique.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles.
• Monitor progress and use assessment effectively to identify areas for development.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the History and Humanities department.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, resources and departmental development.
• Support revision sessions, interventions and enrichment opportunities where required.
