Job Description:

Due to the continuing expansion of SOWGA London Region, we have an exciting opportunity within the team - London Static Site Cover Engineer. This is a semi-static position Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. The initial role of this engineer will be routine holiday and sickness cover for our London Static sites, located in Victoria, Westminster, Mayfair, and White City. The successful applicant will be familiarised with all sites, enabling them to confidently cover without the need for a handover. As such, they will need to be comfortable with changes of working environment, display excellent communication skills, and a high level of customer service. Flexibility to change between static and semi-static working is required.

Position: London Static Site Cover Engineer

Location: Central London

Salary: to be discussed at interview

Salary Range: £45k to £47k depending on experience and qualifications.

Other details: the role will be on a 6-month probation period.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
2. Complete building services tasks, including management of BMS, emergency lighting repairs, fire alarm systems, pumps, FCUs, AHUs, and other HVAC plant.
3. Have knowledge of Water Treatment, including ACOP L8, and carry out related tasks.
4. Ensure all reactive repairs are undertaken safely and within appropriate time scales.
5. Report hazards on site for prompt rectification.
6. Work with site-wide plant and equipment and maintain positive relationships with the Landlord team.
7. Work as part of a site-based team.
8. Support investigation and rectification of technical faults.
9. Supervise subcontractors and liaise with them effectively.
10. Understand the critical nature of the site and be confident in handling urgent tasks in a demanding environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Mechanical/Electrical qualifications and basic understanding of building services.
• Professional approach with direct client contact weekly.
• Availability for regular out-of-hours work, paid at overtime rates.
• Availability for at least one Saturday per month for supervision and OOH PPMs.
• Must not currently be in a probation period.
