Job summary

DRW offers a Software Developer Internship in London. As a Software Developer Intern, you will build advanced trading and risk applications leveraging cutting-edge technology, under the guidance of senior technologists with deployment targets during your ten weeks.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy software across the firm, work with cross-functional teams, and participate in mentorship, housing, and social activities throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, mathematics, or related science with graduation between December and August.
• Exposure to network programming (TCP/IP), multi-threaded applications, computational intelligence, algorithms, real-time programming, or GUI programming.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Eagerness to learn and apply knowledge with impact of code.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with C++, Python, Java, C#, or C.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software solutions across the firm, e.g., decoders for market data, normalisers, or trade communication tools.
• Identify innovative solutions and advocate for their implementation within cross-functional teams.
• Conduct robust research using data-driven approaches for analytics on large data sets.
• Collaborate with software developers, quantitative traders, researchers, and business analysts in cross-functional teams.
