Job summary

Turner Townsend in London seeks a Project Controls Manager to lead the programme controls function on a major rail project. You will monitor plans, costs, safety, environment and performance reporting, and allocate controls team resources to maximise delivery effectiveness.

The role requires GRIP-compliant control processes, robust scheduling, cost control and data integrity across project teams. A construction‑related degree is expected, with strong communication and software skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and scheduling: development, control and analysis, in field and home office.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC operating systems and basic software applications.
• Proficiency with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and start‑up processes.
• Degree in construction related subject.

Responsibilities

• Establish effective control processes in line with GRIP and Programme Controller guidance at Territory/Project level.
• Review new proposals and monitor for realistic, resourceable delivery plans.
