Job summary

Proactive Appointments is seeking a Data Quality Lead for a permanent hybrid role in Hampshire, UK. The role focuses on owning the enterprise Data Quality strategy, building capabilities across people, process and technology, and leading the adoption of Collibra and Unity Catalog.

The candidate will work with senior business and technology stakeholders to embed quality into migrations, transformations and data operations, while developing a strong culture of data ownership.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering Data Quality strategies and roadmaps.
  • Experience embedding Data Quality into migrations, integrations and transformation programmes.
  • Hands-on with Collibra, Databricks Unity Catalog or comparable tooling.
  • Understanding of governance, trusted data and quality at source.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the enterprise Data Quality strategy, roadmap and vision.
  • Build and mature Data Quality capabilities across people, process and technology.
  • Establish frameworks, rules, controls, monitoring and issue management.
  • Embed Data Quality into migrations, integrations and transformations.
  • Lead adoption of Collibra and Databricks Unity Catalog.
  • Improve data monitoring, reporting and preventative controls.
  • Partner with Data Owners and stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Translate requirements into practical Data Quality solutions.
  • Act as senior escalation point and provide guidance.
  • Lead and develop Data Quality specialists.

Job description

Salary: £49,000 - 89,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Proven experience within an established enterprise Data Quality function.
  • A strong track record of developing and delivering Data Quality strategies and roadmaps.
  • Extensive experience with Data Quality frameworks, rules, controls, monitoring and issue management.
  • Experience delivering Data Quality capabilities across large or complex organisations.
  • Proven experience embedding Data Quality into migrations, integrations and transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of Data Governance and trusted data.
  • Hands-on experience with Collibra, Databricks Unity Catalog or comparable tooling.
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence senior business and technology leaders.
  • Experience leading and developing Data Quality professionals.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and turn them into practical, business-focused solutions.

  • Act as a senior escalation point for Data Quality challenges and provide expert guidance across our organisation.
  • Lead, coach and develop Data Quality specialists while building a strong culture of data ownership.

We are offering a permanent hybrid opportunity in Hampshire, UK for a Data Quality Lead at a salary of £75k to £85k per year plus benefits. This is a senior role where we are looking for someone to take ownership of our enterprise Data Quality strategy and help build the foundations for a more data-driven and AI-ready organisation. You will work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders, influence change, and help embed quality into the way data is created, managed and used.
