G-Research in London is hiring a Network Engineer to enhance reliability, performance, resilience and security of our network infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring network and security platforms operate effectively and securely.

You will implement observability with Grafana and Prometheus, manage Cisco and Arista platforms, and drive automation using Python, Ansible and CI/CD practices. The position offers strong growth and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Proven enterprise network engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on with BGP/OSPF/EVPN/VXLAN/MPLS.
• Experience applying SRE, observability, and automation to networking.
• Familiarity with Cisco and Arista switching/routing and security infra.

Responsibilities

• Oversee performance, stability, availability and security of network platforms.
• Enhance observability with Grafana, Prometheus and ThousandEyes.
• Maintain scalable, resilient datacentre network using Cisco/Arista.
• Promote automation with Python, Ansible, Jinja2, Git.
• Support Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD for network provisioning.
• Handle break/fix and incident response for enterprise networks.
• Drive incident management, on-call, postmortems and root-cause analysis.
• Manage WAN edge devices with MPLS/Segment Routing knowledge.
