Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, math, statistics, or engineering.
• Experience in market risk management, commodity trading, or financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of commodity markets, risk metrics (VaR, P&L, exposures).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex data.
• Experience with data analysis and programming tools (Excel, SQL, Python).
• Ability to communicate complex risk concepts clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent risk control oversight for timely, accurate market risk reporting.
• Perform daily risk reporting across trading portfolios and VaR against limits.
• Analyze drivers of P&L and exposure across commodity trading activities.
• Model and advise on market risk profiles from trade to portfolio level.
• Ensure adherence to risk policies and escalation where needed.
• Serve as a market risk advisor to trading teams and stakeholders.
• Build relationships with trading, middle office, compliance and IT teams.
