Job summary

The Standard, London is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Steward to support our busy kitchen environment at London King’s Cross. You will help keep equipment, workspaces and surfaces clean, safe and service‑ready, contributing to smooth operations across our venues.

We value reliability, proactivity and pride in high standards. This role is full‑time with shifts that may include evenings, weekends and public holidays, supporting a dynamic hospitality team within Hyatt.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stewarding, kitchen portering, cleaning, hospitality or a similar environment is advantageous.
• A strong understanding of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive, team‑focused approach with a willingness to support colleagues wherever needed.
• Reliable, organised and committed to maintaining consistently high standards.
• Comfortable carrying out physically active work, including lifting, cleaning and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, crockery, utensils and workspaces.
• Managing waste and recycling processes.
• Ensuring back‑of‑house areas remain safe, spotless and inspection‑ready.
• Working closely with the wider kitchen team to maintain standards during busy services.
