It is a well-established medium-sized consultancy of over 100 Engineers in total who have a commitment to excellence and sustainability within the built environment. They have a strong project pipeline within the Hotel, commercial, and Student accommodation markets and are looking for more of a presence in London to help engage with a strong repeat client base here.

Your new role

As the Director of Building Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and execution of projects in London. You will lead a team of professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that meet client expectations and industry standards, and you will grow and develop this resource to build up an office locally. Initially, you will be expected to engage with existing clients and make sure that projects are delivered using resources from Ireland. As you grow into the role, you will be expected to build a team around you and bring clients onboard to help grow the office. After the initial settling year, you will have almost full autonomy on how to run the business in the UK as an equity partner in the business.

What you'll need to succeed

• A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Chartered status with a relevant professional body (CIBSE, IMechE).
• Extensive experience in building services management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
