Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Day Shift Engineer for a high-end commercial site in London on a 4 on / 4 off, days-only pattern. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance across critical building systems.

The role includes monitoring HV/LV distribution, BMS, and air conditioning issues, performing fault investigations, and producing reports while ensuring compliance with regulations. A strong customer service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

City & Guilds Electrical Competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
Experience with CMMS and BMS systems.
18th Edition IEE Regulations.
Time served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
Excellent customer relationship skills.
Good building services knowledge in critical environments.
ACoPs L8.
Experience working in a similar sector.

Responsibilities

Deliver routine planned preventative maintenance across HV and LV distribution systems, plant, equipment and HVAC systems.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) for running and alarm conditions.
Attend to air conditioning-related client issues and investigations.
Prepare accurate and timely reports and maintain records.
Ensure repair works comply with current regulations.
Assist with installation works and participate in emergency call-out rosters.
Develop understanding of portfolio buildings and their layouts and complexities.
Build strong relationships with Facilities Managers and client staff.
