Job summary

Odeko in London is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to own problems end to end, from discovery to deployment across frontend, backend, and data layers. You’ll decide what to build, ship it, and measure impact with autonomy within guidelines.

You’ll work with AI agents as default tooling, mentor peers, and raise the bar on engineering standards while partnering with operations, design, and customers to deliver scalable, production-grade features for our cafe customers.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated product ownership: shipped features with scope and design decisions.
• Proven expertise across core stack — TypeScript/JavaScript, React Native/Web, Ruby/Rails, AWS, CI/CD.
• AI-native development as your default practice with agent-based coding and review.
• Strong written and verbal communication across product, design, and operations teams.
• Experience in a startup or fast-moving environment delivering scalable production apps.

Responsibilities

• Own product outcomes from discovery to launch with autonomy; focus on results over process.
• Work across the full stack: React Native/Web, Ruby/Rails, AWS, and data layers.
• Engage with operations and customers; translate learnings into scope and prioritization decisions.
• Prototype quickly and iterate toward the best café user experience.
• Use AI agents as the primary development tool; review agent outputs with rigor.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to AI engineering standards.
