Job summary

Odeko is hiring a Senior Product Engineer to own problems end to end, from discovery to launch, with autonomy and impact across the front end, back end, and data layers.

You’ll build with AI agents as the default tooling, mentor peers, and help shape our AI engineering standards while delivering production-grade features for cafes, warehouses, and operations teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent.
• Demonstrated product ownership with customer or operations impact.
• AI-native development as default practice with agentic coding tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.
• Experience building LLM-powered product features: retrieval, tools, agents.
• Familiarity with Ruby/Rails, React, Federated GraphQL, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, and NetSuite.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations-heavy products.
• Design sensibility for pragmatic UI decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own product outcomes from discovery to launch with autonomy.
• Work across the full stack: React Native/Web, Ruby/Rails, TypeScript services, AWS, data.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate learnings into scope and sequencing; explain decisions to non-engineers.
• Prototype quickly and iterate toward the best cafe user experience.
• Develop with AI agents as the primary development mode; ensure safety tests and guardrails.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to AI engineering standards.
