Job summary

NHS England is seeking a Training Programme Director for Forensic Psychiatry in London. The role supports the Postgraduate Dean in delivering a range of functions in line with NHS England mandates and Royal College/GMC standards, with a focus on trainee development and quality assurance.

The successful candidate will work with the Head of School and other TPDs, contribute to educational quality improvement, and lead on curriculum delivery, assessments, and workforce development within the School.

Qualifications

• Membership/Fellowship of a College, Faculty, professional association and/or regulatory body.
• Postgraduate qualification in medical education is desirable.
• Primary clinical healthcare qualification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Specialty's Regional Training Programme and advise on trainee/trainer matters.
• Manage postgraduate programme governance, assessments, progression and rotations.
• Provide annual development plans and reports to the Specialty Training Committee and School Board.
