Job summary

JBT Marel in Adlington is seeking a Logistics & Warehouse Operator to support the safe movement, handling and delivery of high-value machinery and components. The role is on-site, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a focus on safety, accuracy and timely processing of goods.

You will coordinate transport, pack, document deliveries, and maintain orderly storage while working as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Forklift FLT licence is required and will be re-tested.
• Experience in health & safety frameworks within manufacturing or logistics is preferred.
• Experience moving bespoke engineering equipment is desirable.
• Experience managing safe zones and pedestrian traffic during lifting operations would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Move, load, secure, and transport high‑value machinery on-site and to customers.
• Collect and deliver parts and materials to suppliers.
• Coordinate and organise transport documentation (delivery notes, invoices, CMRs).
• Move equipment and components between departments across site.
• Organise storage locations and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Support safe movement of pedestrians and equipment across site.
