Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited is seeking a Logistics Transformation Product Owner (SAP S/4) in Belfast to architect and drive the design and deployment of SAP S/4HANA within a major ERP integration program.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace or related industries, strong SAP S/4HANA and EWM knowledge, and proven change-management and program-management skills. It offers a permanent contract, 36-hour week, and flexible working around core hours.

Qualifications

• Degree level in Informatics, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Production or Supply-chain with 5+ years in Aerospace or related complex industries.
• Or an HNC with 8+ years in Aerospace or related complex industries (e.g., Automotive, Defence).
• Qualified SAP/EWM certifications are a plus.
• Proven track record in change management.
• Mastery of project management.

Responsibilities

• Drive the delivery of the Logistic team.
• Steer collaboration between Belfast Operations stakeholders, Process Owners and Information Management teams.
• Enable efficient implementation of new processes and SAP standards.
• Perform in-depth analysis of current organization, processes and IT landscape.
• Assess and deliver the SAP S/4HANA based solution.
• Collaborate with other SAP S/4 projects to leverage synergies.
• Deploy the SAP S/4HANA solution with the surrounding tool chain.
• Contribute to deployment strategy elaboration.
• Perform business transformation and ensure adoption via tests.
• Prepare and execute data migration and entry into service.
• Orchestrate hypercare to support operations after deployment.
• Maintain focus on Logistics scope while integrating with Finance, shopfloor, Planning & Supply, Manufacturing Engineering, Custom, Export Control.
• Manage collaboration with teams inside/outside Belfast project.

As we absorb these manufacturing operations—a vital Tier 1 structures supplier—our objective is to integrate this complex aerostructure business into the core Airbus organization, while safeguarding the daily continuity of operations and global supply chain. Central to this monumental effort is the expansion of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, replacing legacy tools with a unified SAP S/4HANA digital ecosystem. In this context, a vacancy for a Logistics Transformation Product Owner (SAP S/4) in Belfast has arisen. The newly acquired Belfast site focuses on the A220 wings and A220 mid-fuselage components. As a Product Owner, you will strategically architect and drive the design & deployment of SAP S/4HANA.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

• Drive the delivery of the Logistic team.
• Steer collaboration and alignment between Belfast Operations stakeholders (key users, executives), Process Owners and Information Management teams all along the project, from early discovery phase up to entry into service.
• Enable an efficient implementation of new processes and Airbus digital tools, aligned with SAP standards and Airbus global strategy.
• Perform in-depth analysis of current organization, processes and IT landscape.
• Assess and deliver the SAP S/4 HANA based solution.
• Collaborate with other Airbus S/4 projects to benefit from synergies and harmonize solutions.
• Deploy the SAP S/4 HANA solution together with the surrounding Airbus tool chain.
• Contribute to the deployment strategy elaboration.
• Perform business transformation.
• Ensure business adoption, especially via business acceptance tests.
• Prepare and execute data migration and entry into service.
• Orchestrate hypercare to support operations once deployment is done.
• All along the project, focus on Logistic scope, while ensuring the integration with other domains (Finance, shopfloor, Planning & Supply, Manufacturing Engineering, Custom, Export Control).
• Manage the collaboration with other teams, inside and outside the Belfast project.

ABOUT YOU

Essential

• Be educated to degree level in Informatics, Logistic, Manufacturing Engineering, Production or Supply-chain, together with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Aerospace or related complex industries (e.g., Automotive, Defence)
• OR Be educated to HNC level in Informatics, Manufacturing Engineering, Production or Supply-chain, together with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in Aerospace or related complex industries (e.g., Automotive, Defence)
• Qualified SAP/EWM and other SAP certifications are considered as a plus.
• Proven track record in performing change management.
• Mastery of project management.

Desirable

• Logistic detailed knowledge.
• Global supply-chain end to end business understanding.
• Deep understanding of SAP supply-chain modules.
• S/4 proficiency, both in terms of solution and deployment methodology
• Knowledge of additional domains (on top of Logistic) and experience in Logisitc Operations are a plus.
• Experience with SAFe/Agile frameworks.
• Previous experience in SAP transitions during corporate carve-ins/integrations is a distinct advantage.
