LOGISTICS TRADE COMPLIANCE

What you will be doing
  • Respond to day-to-day supply chain logistics and operational trade (import and export) issues/inquires and provide global support as needed
  • Support the Regional Trade Compliance Operations team in execution of trade compliance remediation plans and training
  • Autonomy in execution of trade compliance remediation/improvement plans
  • In Depth of knowledge with trade compliance
  • Ensure shipments imported into the Customs territory around import/export including shipping documentation, relevant license determination and application, Harmonized System Code (HS) classification, valuation, and other key trade compliance areas such as special trade agreements.
  • Executes and ensures compliance to the global trade compliance policy, global trade compliance standards, and other applicable standard operating procedures for import/export activities for JRD; Create or revise SOPs and Work Instructions as needed
  • Support the Global Valuation Remediation project and collaborate with CSC logistics partners to assess/manage migration of historic proforma values to the new valuation process and support the valuation risk team to manage customs valuation challenges and risk mitigations, as needed.
  • Collaborate with functional groups and Deliver partners on shared aspects of import/export activity for the R&D (including Regional Trade Compliance, Global Trade Compliance, Valuation Center of Excellence)
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all departments and affiliates to fully understand the business including its supply chain flows, products, systems, research, materials, applications and other business resources.
  • Work with both internal and external partners to understand existing trade compliance processes and execute plans to implement process improvements.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience in international trade compliance
  • General knowledge of Global Freight Forwarding and Customhouse Broker operations and customs regimes
  • Ability to manage several projects of varying complexity simultaneously and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and disciplined follow up
