Job Title: Logistics Technician - Submarines
Working Pattern: Full Time
Working Location: Derby

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join our Submarines business as a Logistics Technician based in Derby. In this role, you will be responsible for operating Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) and managing material movements. You will ensure that all materials are receipted, stored, picked, processed, and dispatched in line with local governing procedures, while also conducting physical inspections as part of the goods receipt process.

What You Will Be Doing

With this attractive opportunity, you will get the chance to:

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, embedding a culture of open and honest reporting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of logistics processes to enhance efficiency and service levels.
  • Handle material packaging, loading/unloading, and direct deliveries to appropriate areas.
  • Complete physical counts to support inventory control.
  • Operate logistics equipment, including lifting tools and MHE.

Who we’re looking for:

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Have an appreciation of key logistics processes and systems.
  • Possess experience in physical logistics operations (highly desirable).
  • Understand key regulatory requirements within the logistics sector.
  • Ensure stock compliance and adherence to inventory controls.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an MHE/lifting and slinging qualification (forklift truck license is highly desirable, but training will be provided if required).
