The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Technician in the Sample Registration team at ALS Laboratories (UK) Ltd in Coventry, West Midlands.

This role involves completing a range of tasks within the Logistics department to enable the effective receipt, registration, and storage of samples.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to follow instructions closely. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in Environmental Sciences. If you have the skills, read on!
Hours Per Week: 37
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (08:00 - 16:00)
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Salary: £24,242 per annum

Daily Responsibilities

  • Inputting sample data into in-house software such as Quasar
  • Packing samples and containers for distribution via couriers
  • Filtration of wastewater samples
  • Rotating and disposing of sample bottles after analysis
  • Washing glassware
  • Processing returns or waste for recycling/disposal
  • Participating in the Taste and Odour panel on a rotational basis after successful screening
Minimum Requirements
  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Science, Maths, and English
  • IT skills including Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn in-house software
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Accuracy in work
  • Good communication skills
