Job description

Job Title: General Utility Worker II

The General Utility Worker II serves a variety of essential back of the house and front of the house Food & Beverage (F&B) roles. The role requires maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment and gaining extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures.
  2. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including pot/dish wash and deep cleaning duties.
  3. Attend in-house training sessions.
  4. Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform according to company regulations.
  5. Present a professional image conducive to good customer relations.
  6. Comply with and promote the company's health and safety policies.
  7. Use chemical products safely, wearing appropriate PPE, and observe manual handling regulations when lifting, pulling, or carrying heavy objects.
  8. Serve food and beverages to customers according to Campbell Catering standards.
  9. Adhere to all food hygiene regulations, particularly HACCP.
  10. Assist chefs with checking in food deliveries, ensuring high-quality produce acceptance.
  11. Ensure food storage complies with hygiene regulations and FIFO stock rotation.
  12. Perform cleaning duties related to service and equipment.
  13. Prepare service areas and points.
  14. Store food items and equipment accurately after service.
  15. Understand and implement COSHH regulations.

Other duties assigned by your line manager to ensure the department runs smoothly.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Interest in food and service.
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene and HACCP.
  • Good English comprehension.
  • Dedication and self-motivation.
  • Good timekeeping.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
Experience and Education
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar environment.
  • Food hygiene experience.
  • Experience in porterage, catering, cleaning, or housekeeping.
