Job summary

Yeo Valley Production Ltd is seeking a Logistics Team Manager at the Isleport Distribution Centre in Highbridge, Somerset. You will lead and develop one of our Logistics Operational teams, ensuring safe operations, accurate picking, efficient dispatch and high standards for customers.

You'll work with cross-functional teams to improve quality, efficiency, distribution and labour costs, while driving a safety-first culture and delivering key KPIs. 4 nights on 4 nights off, 20:00 to 08:00.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft software and basic digital tools.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply highest Health & Safety standards and drive a safety culture.
  • Engage and develop the team and role model values.
  • Lead the team to on-time in-full delivery of products.
  • Develop the team to achieve KPIs including safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Collaborate across Supply Chain and other functions to plan, prioritise and deliver.
  • Use Microsoft packages and handheld devices and relevant software systems.
  • Deliver department communications and reporting with data-driven insights.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities with CI measures.

As a Logistics Team Manager based at our Isleport Distribution Centre in Highbridge, Somerset, you'll be responsible for leading and developing one of our Logistics Operational teams. Ensuring we are operating in the safest environment, you’ll engage, support and develop your team members to ensure our finished goods/raw materials are picked accurately, dispatched with maximum efficiency, and presented to the highest standard for our customers.

As well as making sure things are running smoothly on a daily basis, you'll work together with your team and other functions to continually improve the quality, efficiency, distribution and labour costs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understanding and applying the highest Health & Safety standards within your area of responsibility and driving a safety-first culture within your team
  • Engaging and developing the team through demonstrating our Values and being a role model
  • Leading the team to ensure on time in full delivery of our products
  • Developing the team to achieve all KPIs and targets including safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Working collaboratively both across Supply Chain and with other functions to ensure that work plans are agreed, prioritisedand delivered
  • Confidently using technology such as Microsoft packages and use of hand-held devices and other relevant software systems to deliver your job role
  • Delivering department and business communications and reportingto the highest standards with ability to analyse and interpret the detail of results within your team
  • Leading continuousimprovement activities providing measures of success through application ofCI principles

This is a 4 nights on 4 nights off role working 20:00 to 08:00
