Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a Logistic Support Worker to join our busy NHS logistics team in Christchurch. You will help with linen handling, goods inwards, and post room tasks, using barcode scanners and basic IT. Manual handling and shift work, including weekends/bank holidays, are part of the role. Full on-job training provided.

Applicants should have basic literacy/numeracy, good teamwork, and a flexible approach to tasks across Trust logistics.

Qualifications

• Basic IT skills to use electronic systems.
• Ability to operate simple machinery for manual handling.
• Willingness to learn a wide range of logistics tasks.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills required.
• Teamworking and customer service awareness.

Responsibilities

• Handle linen and distribute to wards and departments.
• Process goods inwards: receive and distribute ordered items.
• Sort, distribute and franking letters in post room.
• Use barcode scanners and MS Office for daily tasks.
• Work flexibly within shift patterns including weekends.
