Job description

Job Title: Logistics Supervisor - Timber Frame Manufacturing
Location: Birmingham Full-Time

The Company:
We are working with a leading timber frame manufacturer, delivering sustainable, high-quality structures for residential and commercial projects. With a growing order book and strong focus on service, we are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to ensure our products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

The Role
You will oversee the day-to-day logistics operations, managing the flow of finished goods from our factory to construction sites. Working closely with production, site, and transport teams, you'll ensure schedules are met, resources are used effectively, and customers receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the transport of timber frame components to sites
  • Supervise drivers, yard staff, and subcontracted hauliers
  • Monitor deliveries and resolve any issues quickly
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and transport regulations
  • Liaise with production and site teams to align dispatch with build schedules
  • Maintain accurate records and delivery documentation
  • Support continuous improvements in logistics processes and cost efficiency

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in logistics, transport, or dispatch supervision (construction or manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of transport legislation and health & safety practices
  • Effective communicator, able to coordinate across teams
  • IT literate (MS Office, logistics or scheduling software)
  • Supervisory or team leader experience desirable
