Qualifications

Overview

Construction Logistics Supervisor Required. Brighton Area. Start Jan 26 - Direct Role - Long Term. Working Hours 8am - 6pm. Our Client is currently looking for a Logistics Supervisor to join their team for a new project due to start in Jan 2026. Long Term Scheme. New Build Mixed User Scheme.

Responsibilities
  • Logistics Planning & Coordination
    • Develop and implement site Logistics Plan with Logistics Manager
    • Coordinate the flow of materials and deliveries to avoid site congestion and delays
    • Establish and maintain delivery schedules in collaboration with suppliers, subcontractors, and site managers
  • Site Operations Management
    • Oversee site setup and logistics infrastructure, including hoarding, access gates, security, signage, and welfare facilities
    • Manage traffic and pedestrian routes to ensure safe and efficient movement on and around the site
    • Management of Site Delivery System
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure logistics operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations
    • Conduct risk assessments and enforce site safety standards in conjunction with Health and Safety Team
    • Manage permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements for deliveries and site access
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Act as the key point of contact between project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers for logistics-related issues
    • Run Daily DABS / White Board Meetings with Client and Sub Contractors
  • Cost & Resource Management
    • In conjunction with Commercial Team - monitor and control logistics budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources
    • Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to optimize cost-effectiveness
    • Track performance against KPIs (e.g., delivery timeliness, waste reduction, resource utilization)
