Logistics Specialist
  • Annual Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP42,000

We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our clients team. This role involves meticulous tracking and coordination of equipment usage and status, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and effective collaboration with both internal teams and external partners.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Tracking Equipment Usage and Status:

    • Monitor the current location of all equipment.
    • Track usage history and maintain records of each piece of equipment's applications.
    • Keep up-to-date records of certification statuses such as safety and compliance.
    • Log cleaning history and schedule cleaning based on the product carried and the equipment's next use.
  • Coordination and Allocation:

    • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., local planning, logistics) and external parties (e.g., shipping lines, rail freight providers, cleaning stations).
    • Allocate equipment to local teams as needed for upcoming jobs or relocate to other regions in response to forecasted or current demands.
  • Interface with External Partners:

    • Coordinate with shipping lines, train lines, and cleaning stations to ensure efficient equipment movement and availability.
    • Ensure that equipment movements align with transportation schedules and availability.
  • Technical and Regulatory Considerations:

    • Apply technical knowledge to prevent cross-contamination when switching between different product types.
    • Ensure that the equipment used matches the required capabilities, such as pressure ratings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a logistics specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
  • Excellent organisational and coordination abilities.
  • Proficient in using logistics software or transport management systems.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in transportation.
