The role of a Logistics Specialist involves autonomously managing and transporting materials within our facility, ensuring they are accurately pulled, packed, and stored. This individual will conduct thorough inspections of incoming components and raw materials, utilizing precision tools such as gages, calipers, and micrometers. Mastery over digital counting scales is required for weighing and counting parts, alongside proficiency in operating forklifts and similar machinery. Inventory transactions and inspection entries are a crucial part of the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Interpreting work orders to determine movement and distribution of items.
  • Handling materials, whether manually or with equipment like 4 D fork trucks, for loading and unloading onto various transport mediums.
  • Utilizing hand-operated cranes or hoists to transport loads.
  • Conducting material inspections against specifications using measurement tools and opening containers using appropriate tools.
  • Recording transactions using designated computer software.
  • Maintaining professional communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to minimize waste and manage costs effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and OSHA standards.
  • Occasionally driving company vehicles as required.
  • Conducting regular safety audits on all operational machinery.

Further Responsibilities:

  • Acquiring cross-functional skills to cover various warehouse duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
