Job description

My client, a well-established Blue Chip Building Contractor, is seeking a Logistics Site Manager to oversee a framework of refurbishment and new build projects ranging from £4 million to £10 million. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing all logistical aspects of the projects and must be an effective communicator.

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • Experience managing projects up to £5 million
  • Top Tier Contractor background, with certifications such as SMSTS, NVQ Level 5, and CSCS
  • A proven track record of being client-facing
  • Strong project leadership qualities and soft skills
  • Robust health and safety awareness and management skills
  • Strong technical and financial acumen

Key responsibilities include controlling all aspects of health and safety on site, programming work schedules, monitoring progress to ensure compliance with regulations and budget constraints, managing site inductions, method statements, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permits to work. Additionally, you will handle logistics planning, plant and labor resource management, and conduct progress meetings with the site team and subcontractors. Previous exposure to government-funded construction projects is preferred.

Profile: To be considered, you must have a strong construction background, experience working for a reputable contractor, and a demonstrated record of delivering high-profile projects.
