We are actively looking to engage recent graduates with a passion for freight forwarding and aviation shipping for a new role as a Logistics & Shipping Graduate near Newark-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire! Full training will be given to successful candidates who have a desire to grow their knowledge and understanding within the field.

My client is a market leader in a specialist area of the shipping industry with offices across the world (Germany, Spain, USA, and more recently in the Far East). You will join a fast-paced environment, assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, retail, and FMCG customers. The company focuses on air freight, AOG, sea freight, and road freight solutions that are cost-effective and time-sensitive.

Job Description

As a Logistics & Shipping Graduate, you will report to the Shipping & Logistics Manager daily. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing freight import and export bookings, including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping, and customs documentation.
• Handling operational documents and transportation paperwork (booking, BL, pre-advices, loading confirmation).
• Nominating carriers, hauliers, shipping lines, airlines, and GSA in line with rates, OTIF value, and customer requirements, following various INCOTerms.
• Raising additional customs documentation to facilitate freight movement between countries (ISF, COO, clearance documents, etc.).
• Conducting customer rate analysis on route guidance while monitoring and securing allocations and operational efficiency.
• Developing and maintaining relationships to ensure high levels of customer service aligned with clients' business requirements.
