Logistics Services Assistant

Grade - Band 2

Hours – 16.5 hours per week

Salary – £23,615 Pro rata

Site - Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital

Ensure the collection and delivery of goods, food, and waste, including clinical waste, throughout the Trust is removed and disposed of following strict policy and standard operating practices over the 24/7 period.

Our team is responsible for replacing medical gas cylinders, removing the empty ones in various areas of the Trust, and ensuring safe transportation and storage procedures are followed.

We perform daily pharmacy, pathology, and other stock/top-up and collection runs, which may include handling blood and other sample products in sealed containers.

If successful at the shortlist stage, you will be required to participate in a practical assessment, short reading, and writing tests during the interview to assess your ability to read and retain information.

The successful candidate will also need to undertake a driving assessment. Any offer of employment will be subject to the Trust's terms and conditions, along with satisfactory completion of the driving assessment, which must be renewed annually to retain employment.

We are a busy team that expects everyone to work together, follow schedules, and adhere to policies and procedures. Training will be provided on all roles required during your working day.
