Job summary

Amour Recruitment are recruiting for a Route Planner based in Lancing, West Sussex. You will support a busy transport operation, planning daily routes and vehicle schedules to maximise efficiency.

Key requirements include great attention to detail, strong IT skills (TMS and MS Office), and the ability to communicate with drivers and internal teams. The role is Monday to Friday with a salary up to £33,000, rising to £35,000 after probation.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning or logistics coordination.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Good knowledge of geography and route optimisation.
• Proficient IT skills with TMS and MS Office.
• Flexible, proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily transport routes and vehicle schedules.
• Allocate deliveries and collections to drivers to maximise efficiency.
• Monitor transport operations and resolve routing issues.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Respond to operational challenges, including delays and schedule changes.
• Support continuous improvements in route planning and fleet utilisation.
