A dedicated Logistics Project Specialist is needed to join a leading global logistics provider in Birmingham. Becoming an integral part of an established Project Logistics team, specialising in complex project cargo management and working on challenging heavy-lift and oversized freight shipments across air, sea, and road. This role offers excellent scope to develop your expertise in technical supply chain solutions.

What will you do as a Logistics Project Specialist
  • Manage heavy-lift and oversized cargo projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and route surveys.
  • Develop technical method statements and risk assessments.
  • Analyse cargo specs with engineering input.
  • Oversee cargo handling and logistics operations.
  • Coordinate with ports, shipping lines, and transport providers.
  • Act as the technical contact for clients and stakeholders (site visits included).
What will you need as a Logistics Project Specialist
  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in complex cargo logistics or project freight.
  • Knowledge of international shipping and customs procedures.
  • Expertise in international shipping regulations.
  • Strong analytical, IT skills (including Microsoft Office; CAD experience preferred).
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international) and valid UK driving licence.
