A leading provider of sustainable supply chain solutions is seeking a Logistics & Planning Manager to lead the UK/IRE logistics team. This role involves optimizing operations, managing transport costs, and ensuring high service levels. The successful candidate will coach team members, track KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while promoting safety and compliance.

They are looking to hire a Logistics & Planning Manager to lead and coach the UK/IRE logistics team in working proactively towards maximizing service levels, customer satisfaction, and achieving departmental and personal objectives. The team includes a supervisor and four planners.
The role is responsible for continuous analysis and optimization of operational parameters and costs, providing expertise and support for logistical improvement projects, and ensuring the smooth delivery of daily departmental tasks. Additionally, the role involves supporting the operations department with reporting on KPIs both upstream and downstream.
Leadership responsibilities include coaching Service Centre Managers and third-party operations, supporting performance management, fostering a positive work environment, and driving business initiatives.
Represent the assigned region internally for Supply Chain & Operations, translating strategies into operational goals with measurable metrics.
Accountable for delivering operational requirements, setting annual budgets, and monitoring expenses and costs.
Promote a culture of safety within the Service Centres, implementing safety standards, conducting inspections, and fostering safety awareness.
Maintain a safe working environment, emphasizing safety, pride, and quality work.
Support Food Safety Management System compliance, ensuring food safety hazards are managed, and sanitation standards are met.
Identify operational synergies and pursue continuous improvement initiatives.
