YOUR ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and skilled warehouse Logistics Planner at our customer's automotive site based in Solihull.

This role involves linking onsite material planning and logistics activities in line with CEVA functional teams to meet project requirements. You will respond to and plan for changes in the supply chain caused by demand variances, costs, or customer challenges.

This pivotal role is based at our Solihull operation, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for working hours and days depending on project needs, including potential weekend work.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
  • Calculate the volumes and flows of parts throughout the operation (PREP).
  • Conduct resource planning to identify and fulfill resource and skill requirements.
  • Design parts layout in the warehouse considering LEAN methodologies.
  • Work with production and operational teams to identify suitable delivery methods.
  • Provide detailed logistics support as requested by the customer.
  • Benchmark and review current operations to ensure best-in-class service.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Support the development of the planning master schedule.
  • Assist in ERP system development, testing, and reporting issues.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects, highlighting risks and providing solutions.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Successful candidates will have proven experience in warehouse planning or solutions design, with a track record of operational improvements and project deployment. A strong understanding of operational layouts and warehousing or production environments is essential, especially in fast-paced and changing settings.

You should be an excellent communicator and problem-solver, interested in continuous improvement, LEAN methodologies, or solutions design. Building effective relationships at all levels, with a strong customer focus, and being confident in preparing and presenting reports, data analytics, and operational plans are crucial. Proficiency in MS Office and related software is required.

Experience with AutoCAD or MTM software is desirable but not essential.
