Job description

Logistics Planner

I am excited to present an opportunity to work for a well-established family run business. The company, based near Congleton, are leaders in their industry with many employees being part of the team for 10+ years. With their ever-growing success they are looking for a Logistics Planner to join their close-knit team.

Logistics Planner Salary & Company Benefits:

Salary: £30,000-£35,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00
Location: Congleton
Duration: Permanent / Full time
28 days holidays, including bank holidays and Christmas closure.

About you:

You will be a great communicator, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet. You won't be afraid to get stuck in and take responsibility - a strong work ethic will be needed to succeed in this role. No day is the same, you will need to be adaptable and flexible and happy to multi-task.

Logistics Planner Duties Include:

  1. Processing orders and administration
  2. Dealing with visitors, customers and drivers
  3. Taking responsibility of vans and orders going out
  4. Handling any interruptions and changes to orders
  5. Liaising with Sales Representatives in relation to customer queries

Requirements for the right Logistics Planner:

  1. Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers and the team.
  2. Organisation skills to prepare in advance for upcoming orders.
  3. Adaptable, reactive and be able to change orders last minute
  4. Attention to detail is a MUST as administration is an important part of the role.
  5. IT skills, although full training will be given on the companies systems
