A dynamic and fast-growing international food wholesaler and distributor that are growing their UK operation are looking for a driven Logistics Planner to join their team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels, reduce shortages, and implement control measures.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Oversee inbound customs clearance, transport, storage, and distribution.
  • Customer Service: Act as a liaison for customer inquiries and order support, ensuring high service standards.
  • Production Fulfilment: Work with production and sales teams to meet customer demands on time.
  • Data Analysis: Use sales and inventory data to forecast demand and identify areas for improvement.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve sales and logistics processes for greater efficiency.
  • Cost & Process Efficiency: Drive competitive pricing and workflow effectiveness through analysis and negotiation.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in a Logistics/Supply Chain Planning or similar role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • IT skills including Excel
  • A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the food industry
  • Imports experience
