Job summary

Barfoots of Botley Ltd is seeking a Logistics Operative for a full-time day shift in Chichester. You will help move produce, pick and pack orders, and load/unload delivery vehicles using MHE and forklift trucks in a busy, temperature-controlled warehouse.

The role includes working across Leythorne and Sefter sites, following SOPs, and delivering high-quality service while maintaining safety and efficiency. Training provided to cover all duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Fresh Produce or FMCG Warehousing environment (Preferred).
• Forklift / Counter Balance Licence and experience using MHE preferable.
• Able to communicate effectively using basic verbal English.
• Confident and proactive with experience meeting deadlines.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Team player with collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Loading & unloading of delivery vehicles.
• Safe transfer/locating of finished products to despatch from production.
• Safe transfer/locating of raw materials.
• Be trained for all warehousing area duties across Leythorne and Sefter sites.
• Adherence to all trained SOPs.
• Focus on internal and external customer satisfaction with zero errors.
• Maintain clean as you go principles while carrying out duties.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety in all operating areas.
• Report hazards and accidents to the manager promptly.
• Support continuous improvements.

Logistics Operative

Full time DAY SHIFT positions, 4 days on, 4 days off

With various opportunities across our sites, duties and responsibilities will be centred around our busy Logistics departments. Working as part of a team, our warehouse operators and forklift drivers assist with the safe transfer of produce to and from production and storage areas, as well as picking & packing orders and loading unloading delivery vehicles utilising MHE and Forklift trucks where necessary. You will be confident working in a busy, temperature controlled, warehouse environment and manoeuvring goods around safely both inside and out. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be passionate about providing a first class service at all times and be responsible for ensuring all operational warehousing tasks are completed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Operating in both inside and outside areas with associated responsibilities.

Opportunities could be either Sefter Farm or Leythorne site based.

Key Responsibilities

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
