Job summary

STFC Innovation Ltd in Harwell is seeking a Logistics Operative to join the Logistics Team at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Oxfordshire. The role covers daily logistics activities, despatch and on-site deliveries, and data entry to support staff and collaborators.

You will handle hazardous materials, operate a counterbalance forklift, and maintain records, with a full-time fixed-term contract for 23 months. A valid driving licence and 5 GCSEs are required.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs including English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Clean current UK driving licence.
• Counterbalance forklift certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Undertake daily and weekly core logistics activities to ensure timely delivery.
• Front desk duties and postal function; respond to the Logistics inbox.
• Despatch, shipping tasks and internal site deliveries; manage gas deliveries.
• Care and custody of stored goods; handle hazardous materials with care.
• Produce and maintain data records; use SOPs for consistent practice.
