We are currently looking for a Delivery Driver / Logistics Operative to join our existing team in our sister company MGS, at their branch in Kingswinford, West Midlands.

A job that matters: Your Tasks

As part of our Logistics and warehouse staff, you will be part of a team that ensure that our products get to our customers on time and as required. This is a dual role where as well as being responsible for normal warehouse activities from picking & packing to goods in and dispatch, you will also be responsible for the delivery of these goods to engineers and customers on site at various location as required for up to 3 days a week (on average).

The delivery part of the role means that you will need to demonstrate that you are the person that goes the extra mile, putting the customer first at all times. You should also be able to manage the route planning of the deliveries to ensure the customer receives the products on time, as expected, so a degree of flexibility may be required in working hours. The role may involve loading and unloading stock, so you need to be physically fit and happy to assist the customer as required as well as completing any paperwork. Lastly, as you will deal with customers directly, you need to be well presented, approachable and be able to deal with a variety of issues in a calm and pleasant manner.

An experience that matters: Your Skills

• 2 years + experience in a similar logistics environment dealing with all departments such as goods In, dispatch, picking and packing.
• Previous experience of a computerised stock control systems
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate a good team ethic
• Counterbalance FLT operating experience (external or in-house licences both considered)
• Full UK drivers’ licence with no more than 3 penalty points
