At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997. Serco proudly supports the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance to fuelling and ground control services.

The Serco Logistic Operative is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of the Serco contracted output within the Logistics areas.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Maintain a positive “Zero Harm” culture with open honest reporting of Near Misses and safety related occurrences.
  • Ensure the delivery of effective, efficient, “right first time every time” output to our customers that follows the Serco values and behaviours.
  • Frequent use of IT systems to manage emails and stock control.
  • Storekeeping and day-to-day management of stock.
  • Delivery of the logistics output in line with work instructions for the role and in line with the RAF's Material Account.

What you need to do the job:

  • Hold a colour perception category of the required standard to enable the issue of an Airfield Driving Permit.
  • Knowledge and working understanding of the MoD MJDI system (desirable as training will be provided).
  • Must be competent in the use of the Microsoft Office package and possess a high standard of oral communication skills.
  • C1 driving licence is essential.
